“Is that a group of Mormons?… oh wait - no. They just work at Woolworths.” – James Polley
“Music is everybody’s possession. It’s only publishers who think that people own it.” - John Lennon

Absolutely brilliant film… I recommend you go see it!
Its times like these I know my brother and I definatly fell from the same tree.
Hey Jimmilla Queen of the Code,
Did you end up finding one of those cables for me? You know the one i am talking about for my power supply jiggy. If so.. can you bring it home and put it on my desk.. cos dad keeps yelling at me about me still using his server.
Cheers
Dave
So im working my way through Dive Into Python - who would of guessed it?
So far I have no observations on the differences between .NET/Mono and Python worth noting. Frameworks such as Django are making me moist in places computer software have not made me moist in a long time.
This is all part of plan aplha purla zeta alpha (Breaking up with Windows) - too long has Microsofts comfortable languages and generous developer tools lulled me into a false sense of (job) security. I can see a new me on the horizon. Belive it or not, Python was the first language I ever wrote in, although in no great depth and became quickly forgotten, distracted by marketing speak and the promise of a hacking job that actually pays. No longer.
My day of triumph is nigh.
Just thought I’d share a nice photo of our new office! (Here is a higher res image).
I also have my own Unit testing cluster… we have a special service here at work that allows us to run NUnit unit tests over multiple machines in the office - so when a machine goes idle, it gets added to the supernode to run tests! Pretty cool stuff
Currently I have six machines on my own private supernode - each red circle in this image are the machines I use for test runs on Windows Vista - and of course my desk

Quick hint today - Don’t forget to flush()!
Lindsay created this swell hackergotchi for me for Planet Linux Australia. Thanks Linsday! ![]()
Gaze apon me! Muaha!
(Note: unlike last time I posted about it, it is now actually up!)
