At $300 a copy you're looking at $60 billion if everybody switched. Of course, that's completely unrealistic, but imagine if only 10% switched? A piece of software that Apple has already developed could fetch them an additional $6 billion, plus upgrades every 2-3 years. Cha-ching!!! Apple is in a better position to compete with Windows than any other OS has ever been. I don't think Linux will ever be able to steal much market share from the desktop space, because it's horribly fragmented by all the different distributions out there and most non-technical users don't understand that-- they don't know the difference between a kernal and a distribution.
