This rant come to you courtesy of the Microsoft relaunch of thier Passport service, this time tweaked to hold the key on the local client, rather than the server and renamed InfoCard.

OpenPGP, anyone?

Innovate?

Bruce, Sorry to be blunt (or rude, whatever), but when money is involved there is no “fairplay”. Maybe you could build a product based on OpenPGP that can compete with Passport? By all means, it isn’t really the technology thats used that is “innovative” - its how its packaged up and sold to a market that makes it innovative.
