Software Freedom Day was rock

Monday, September 12th, 2005

Software Freedom Day in Sydney at UTS was a great day. Thank you Jeff for all those wonderful pressed Ubuntu CD’s and to Pia who made the whole thing rock hard.

Jeff did his OSCON talk on GNOME, Ubuntu and various other cool stuff and we all talked Geeky and Nerdy.

I also found a list made by Pia on the floor. It went something like this

1) Pay ADSL Bill
2) Milk and Bread
3) Posters
4) Balloons
5) ???
6) Profit

Lindsey, how did the XFCE/Ubuntu thing go?

The Lump

Thursday, September 1st, 2005

I’ve been really scared tonight. This afternoon I found a lump under my skin, about 5cm from my knee cap. It kind of hurts when I press on it. Its about 3 and a half cm in diameter and there is no markings on the skin. I’m going to the doctor tomorrow to get it checked - I hope its just fluid or something, not the badness that starts with the letter “C”. Now I kind of know how scared women feel if they were to find a lump in their breast. Anyway. Hopefully its nothing.
