Software Causes Death

Since the company I am working for is in the freight industry we have a lot of clients around in the Asia-Pacific region. I was told something very disturbing today about the Chinese Customs laws by one of our managers - if the data is incorrect (even a missing character) in an Import Customs Declaration, the legal penalty is death. I didn’t know we had to deal with this kind of responsibility in our company - I have great respect for those developers who work on this module, because so far, there has not been any deaths.

    I just googled for “Zhasaper” (because google told me that was a common word in links for my site) and this was one of two pages that came up.

    The other, of course, was zhasper.com

    Flatteringly - google suggested that perhaps I’d meant to search for “Zhasper”.
